2. Who Is Covered

  • Original Purchaser – A person who buys a new ROADVO eBike from the ROADVO official website or an authorized dealer within the Continental United States or Canada.
  • Subsequent Owner – A second or later owner may receive the remaining warranty period (based on the original delivery date) only if they provide the original proof of purchase (original owner’s name and original order number). Without such proof, the warranty is void for subsequent owners.

3. What We Will Do

If a covered component fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship during its applicable warranty period:

  • ROADVO will, at its option, repair or replace the defective component at no charge for the part itself.
  • Replacement parts may be new or refurbished to a functionally equivalent standard.
  • Any replaced part becomes the property of ROADVO.

4. What Is NOT Covered (Exclusions)

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Wear & tear items (as listed in Section 1).
  • Labor charges for removal, installation, diagnosis, or third‑party repair.
  • Damage caused by:
    • Accident, crash, misuse, abuse, stunt riding, racing, overloading, or commercial use (e.g., rentals, deliveries).
    • Improper assembly, maintenance, or repair (including work by non‑authorized shops).
    • Modifications or use of parts/accessories not approved by ROADVO.
    • Water, moisture, rust, corrosion, or exposure to extreme temperatures/humidity.
    • Neglect (e.g., improper storage, failure to charge battery per the user manual).
    • Acts of God (fire, flood, earthquake, lightning, etc.).
    • Use of an incompatible charger or overcharging the battery.
    • Theft, loss, or vandalism.
  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, paint fade, sticker damage) that does not affect functionality.
  • Any product whose serial number or identifier has been removed, defaced, or altered.
  • Any eBike used or purchased outside the Continental United States or Canada (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and territories).

5. How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact ROADVO Customer Support at support@roadvo.com within the applicable warranty period.
  2. Provide your proof of purchase (order number, receipt, or transfer documentation).
  3. Provide clear photos and/or a short video showing the defect.
  4. If requested by ROADVO, ship the allegedly defective part (at your own cost) to the address provided for inspection.

Claims submitted without sufficient evidence, or after the warranty period has expired, may be denied.

6. Shipping Costs

  • Customer pays for shipping the part to ROADVO for inspection or repair.
  • ROADVO pays for shipping an approved replacement part back to a valid address in the Continental US or Canada.
  • If a claim is denied, ROADVO will return the original part to you only if you provide a prepaid shipping label; otherwise, the part may be discarded.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • This warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy for any defect in the product.
  • ROADVO is not liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages (including but not limited to loss of use, rental or transportation costs, lost time, towing, storage, or any other indirect costs).
  • Any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this express warranty (i.e., 2 years or 1 year depending on the component).

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

8. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution First – Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact ROADVO at support@roadvo.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue.

Governing Law – This warranty and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Small Claims & Arbitration
- If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may bring a claim in small claims court in your county of residence (US only) or in Phoenix, Arizona.
- For claims exceeding the small claims limit, or for Canadian customers, the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, unless you request a virtual hearing or a location closer to you that ROADVO reasonably agrees to.

No Class Actions – You agree to bring any claim only in your individual capacity, and not as a class representative or class member in any class action or consolidated proceeding.

Time to Bring a Claim – Any action for breach of warranty must be commenced no later than one (1) year after the expiration of the applicable warranty period (i.e., within 3 years from original delivery for core components, 2 years for non‑core components). This does not shorten any statute of limitations that would otherwise apply under state law.

9. Modifications

ROADVO may update this warranty prospectively for new purchases only. No modification will reduce warranty coverage for eBikes already sold before the effective date of the change.
